Fall prevention equipment design

Freestanding guardrails

Our freestanding guardrails are designed and manufactured to these codes and standards:

  • The current National Building Code of Canada
  • CSA S157 – Strength Design in Aluminum
  • CSA S269.2 – Access Scaffolding for Construction Purposes
  • ASTM B221 – Standard Specification for Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Extruded Bars, Rods, Wire, Profiles, and Tubes
  • S2.1, R.4 – Safety Code for the construction industry
  • The construction code in each Canadian province

In addition, our standard kits have been tested to the industry’s highest specifications for freestanding guardrails, CSA Z259.18:19 – Counterweighted guardrail systems.

Ladders

Our ladders are designed to help workers move safely between two levels and meet the following codes and standards:

  • The current National Building Code of Canada
  • CSA S157 – Strength Design in Aluminum
  • CSA W59.2 – Welded Aluminum Construction
  • CSA W47.2 – Fusion Welding of Aluminum Company Certification
  • ANSI-ASC A14.3 – U.S. code and safety requirements for fixed ladders
  • The construction code in each Canadian province
